Food At Maison De PB (Paris Baguette)
We have to agree that the food at Maison De PB by Paris Baguette is good and freshly prepared.
The menu is quite diverse in terms of food category but the variety within these individual categories is small.
Cakes are some of the best things you can order at Maison De PB by Paris Baguette. They have blueberry yoghurt tarts – we like these because they are not too sweet.
However, most of the pastries, cakes, sandwiches, savory croissants (e.g., smoked salmon croissant) and even salad (try the Beef bulgogi salad) are tasty.
Coffee and specialty lattes (like hazelnut) are commendable too.
Other than baked goods and desserts, Maison De PB by Paris Baguette dishes up some delicious (some are just average) mains too. The steak and mushroom pasta is one of their signatures.
Dining Environment At Maison De PB (Paris Baguette)
There’s no doubt that Maison De PB by Paris Baguette has a beautiful interior.
Dining here is comfortable too. Downstairs has an open and bright atmosphere and this is where you can see their pastries and cakes on display.
You can also choose to sit upstairs (this is their bistro section) if you want more privacy.
Maison De PB by Paris Baguette is open from 10am to 10pm. And we feel that the environment is conducive for meals at any hour of the day. It looks just as elegant in the daytime as at night.
Service At Maison De PB (Paris Baguette)
Alas, this is one aspect that Maison De PB by Paris Baguette can’t seem to get right.
When it’s full house (and inevitably so on weekends and public holidays), it is clear that the staff cannot keep up with the overflow of orders.
Service is disappointingly slow (sometimes up to 2 hours) and the staff is seldom attentive to customers’ needs. Forgotten orders, cold food, and uncleared tables are not uncommon here.
Which is understandable since they are visibly understaffed.
Afternoons are their busiest times.
Pricing At Maison De PB (Paris Baguette)
Ready your wallet because it is certainly not cheap to dine at Maison De PB by Paris Baguette. Moreover, portions are generally small.
Coffee is expensive at SGD12.50 a cup but to be fair, it’s a large cup.
They do have set meals and you can order cakes in a set with tea, or soup with a drink (the mushroom soup is nice) to offset your total a bit.
Tip: If you have the Krispay app, you can get 10% off your bill
Verdict
We would not specifically go to the airport just forMaison De PB by Paris Baguette. Nor would we advise going there just for the café if you happen to live far away from the airport.
If not for the weekend crowds and slow service however, Maison De PB by Paris Baguette is a delightful place to have brunch or an afternoon treat with friends and family.
